Blackberry may soon support Android Apps

Blackberry is currently struggling in the market, many people even questioned of its survival in the next few years. Earlier Nokia has been facing the same but thanks to the Lumia series which helped it revive its reputation in the market, it is although almost acquired by Microsoft it managed to perform well with Windows OS. Blackberry sales have been going down constantly, call it the dominance of Android and iPhone or the lack of App support for the OS.
Last year Blackberry made its popular instant messaging app, BBM, available for Android and iOS and got a very good response from smartphone users. The company is now looking out for ways to revive its smartphone business. According to the latest rumors Blackberry may be planning to port Android Apps to its Blackberry World- the Blackberry App store. It is true that Blackberry does not have a wide variety of Applications as Android and iOS have and that could be one reason that a lot of buyers choose Android over Blackberry smartphones.
The current popular smartphones from Blackberry are the Blackberry Z10, BB Z30, BB Q5 and Q10. These smartphones are actually very much popular among users but the only complaint the users have is lack of Applications. Once Blackberry has Android Apps on board it is highly likely to leave Windows OS behind in terms of both Apps and smartphone sales. We term this a very strategic and master stroke from Blackberry if this rumors turns into reality.
