Samsung officially launched the Galaxy S5 this week leaving a lot of folks disappointed with its design and build quality. Well it is now rumored that the company will be launching a metallic version of the Galaxy S5 in its premium range of smartphones with better specs. We had earlier reported about the leaks of AnTuTu benchmark which had 2 models in the list, one with 1080p display and Snapdragon 801 processor which was revealed 3 days ago. But the other device with 1440p display and the new Exynos chipset (most likely to be a 64-bit processor) was not revealed at MWC.
Korean media is churning a lot of reports suggesting that Samsung may actually the device after the launch of HTC M8 aka HTC One 2. It is said that the premium Galaxy S5 will feature a metallic frame, Quad HD display (2k resolution) and a new generation of the Exynos processor, likely to be 64-bit processor with support for up to 4GB RAM. Thus it would be of no surprise of the Galaxy S5 premium version comes with 4GB RAM.
With these rumors it now sounds more legit that Samsung may actually launch the Galaxy S5 (plastic) with a lighter price tag. This strategy of Samsung must come in line with the premium model which will definitely attract a lot of money. Some reports even suggest that the Galaxy S5 with 1080p display and Snapdragon 801 processor is likely to be priced around the price of Galaxy S4 during the launch or even lesser. We will be patiently waiting here until the company makes the premium Galaxy official and also reveals the prices of the new devices. Stay tuned for further updates.
